SIMPLE will last 48 months following the detailed roadmap below aiming at building models and scenarios for the virtual universes, developing the infrastructure and platform, as well as the pedagogy and training, so that they can be applied to the Vietnamese and Thai case studies within the first 3 years of the project and to the ones of Laos and Cambodia in the last year.
Design of 2 virtual universes deployed and tested in four schools in Vietnam and Thailand
2023 - 2024
Design of 2 more virtual universes deployed and tested in 4 more schools in Vietnam and Thailand
2024 - 2025
Organization of an ASEAN-wide VR contest for school and university students
End of 2025
Design of 2 virtual universes deployed and tested in 4 schools in Lao PDR and Cambodia
2026 - 2027
A software VR toolkit to build virtual universes from scientific models
2026 - 2027
A mobile hardware VR infrastructure for running these universes in classrooms
2026 - 2027
