On the morning of Wednesday, April 15th, the ÉVEIL project reached an important milestone with its first full implementation in Ho Chi Minh City, at Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School.
The session was conducted with an 11th grade class of 34 students in a bilingual learning environment. The activities were fully led by their teachers, who independently facilitated all modules of the ÉVEIL program. The event was also attended by members of the ÉVEIL team and a representative from the French Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, who joined as observers.

One of the key highlights of this session was the full autonomy of the teachers, who adapted the ÉVEIL modules to fit their own teaching styles and classroom dynamics. Following the teacher training held in March, they gained a solid understanding of how to implement the program from pedagogical approaches to technical aspects, including the use of VR equipment.
This session marks a clear step forward from earlier pilot tests, demonstrating that the program can effectively be delivered by teachers in real classroom settings.
The teachers also prepared their own supporting materials, including slides, and guided students through each activity entirely in French, creating a truly immersive language environment.

Throughout the session, students explored entirely in French the issue of waste pollution, a central theme of the ÉVEIL project . Through a combination of videos, discussions, and a Virtual Reality (VR) experience, they were able to observe real-life situations, interact with content, and reflect on possible solutions.
In particular, the final module encouraged students to express their ideas and propose concrete actions, helping them strengthen both their environmental awareness and their French language skills including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

This May, ÉVEIL will lead its next implementations at Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted and Chu Van An High School.
