On May 10, 2025, the SIMPLE project was honored to present its immersive “Lũ lụt” model at the national conference on the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, which focuses on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation in agriculture and environment. The event brought together senior leaders from ministries and sectors nationwide.

During the conference, the SIMPLE team introduced the “Lũ lụt” model-an integrated simulation of urban flooding in Đồng Hới city, Quảng Bình province-developed alongside SIMPLE’s broader suite of Virtual Universes. Built using the GAMA platform (https://gama-platform.org) and combined with a virtual reality experience, this model enables users to explore various flood scenarios.

The model allows users to vividly understand the diverse impacts of flooding and experiment with different strategic responses and infrastructure designs to mitigate potential damage caused by natural disasters.

The SIMPLE team was honored to demonstrate this model to senior representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, as well as experts and stakeholders in the field. The team looks forward to further collaboration in using immersive tools to enhance awareness and education around climate and environmental challenges in Vietnam and across the region.
