Approach

The SIMPLE project develops innovative teaching methods that combine serious games, scientific models, and immersive virtual reality experiences. Through these tools, students can explore environmental challenges, test decisions, and understand the consequences of different actions.
The learning activities are co-designed with educators and researchers from Cambodia, Vietnam, Lao PDR, and Thailand to ensure they reflect the environmental and educational realities of the Mekong region.

Alexis Drogoul holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science. He is a Senior Researcher at IRD and his work concerns the development of software tools (such as GAMA, http://gama-platform.org) for modeling and simulating socio-environmental systems for environmental decision support, particularly in Vietnam, where he has been working since 1999 with numerous partners.
