About FLEUVEs
FLEUVES is an immersive, geo-historical virtual reality simulation that allows players to better understand the flood management strategies of a territory whose history is deeply intertwined with that of a river, while also discovering early 20th-century Hanoi.
FLEUVEs
In the FLEUVEs VR game, guided by a narrator who sets the historical scene, players first observe Hanoi in 1926 from the sky before witnessing a reconstitution of the Red River flood. From this unique viewpoint, they can follow all the key events of this historic event, the breaking of the dikes, the flooding of Gia Lâm district, as well as experience the consequences of the flood at ground level.
The game mechanics are built around observation and guided discovery, rather than making decisions, players are invited to immerse themselves, look and explore. At the end of the experience, the narrator contextualizes what they have just witnessed, helping players connect what they saw to the broader history of hydraulic management along the Red River.
