About ÉVEIL
ÉVEIL (Environnements Virtuels pour l'Éducation Immersive au développement durable en Langue française) is an extension of the SIMPLE project, led by IRD and funded by the SCAC (the French Embassy's Service for Cooperation and Cultural Action) and the Institut Français. ÉVEIL takes immersive education a step further by adapting Virtual Reality (VR) tools for French language learning. Building on SIMPLE's virtual universes focused on environmental awareness, ÉVEIL offers innovative pedagogical materials tailored for French-speaking classrooms, with a focus on the theme of waste pollution.
Opération Zéro Déchet (OZD)
OZD allows players to explore solutions related to waste management while learning French. Immersed in a virtual environment, students interact with the inhabitants of a fictional Vietnamese village, observe the visible consequences of pollution, and take part in waste collection and sorting activities.
