From August 9 to 17, 2025, the SIMPLE project proudly participated in the National Science and Technology Fair 2025 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Thailand. This year’s fair, held under the theme “Science in Action! For Sustainable Communities,” emphasized how science and technology can drive sustainability amid global changes and challenges. The event attracted numerous schools, students, and members of the public, all showing strong interest in science and technology.

At NST 2025, SIMPLE showcased immersive VR demonstrations alongside a series of interactive visual learning activities designed to spark curiosity among young visitors. A standout highlight was SIMPLE’s interactive activity on plant and seed phenology, which allowed participants to explore how science and technology contribute to environmental awareness and forest restoration.
This activity is part of the broader learning scenarios for SIMPLE’s Virtual Universe “BiodiVRestorer”, developed from real scenarios in Thailand’s forests. Through this Virtual Universe, SIMPLE seeks to educate students aged 12–18 on biodiversity and forest restoration, making complex environmental issues more accessible and immersive.

Although each visitor had only a short time with the tools, the SIMPLE team successfully delivered hands-on experiences that combined scientific content with immersive VR learning. These demonstrations inspired students and the general public to view science not only as exciting but also as essential for building a sustainable future.
By contributing to the fair’s mission of fostering a science-literate society and preparing younger generations for future challenges, SIMPLE continues to advance its goal of integrating VR technologies into education on sustainability issues.
