On November 24 – 25, 2025, the SIMPLE project was featured at the AI4Education 2025 National Conference, held at the Innovation Center of the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT). The event gathered more than 800 participants, including teachers, students, policymakers as well as professionals in software development and artificial intelligence.

Hosted by the Rector Council of Cambodia (RCC) with support from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) and the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications (MPTC), the conference was organized by CADT as part of the country’s ongoing effort to advance digital education and emerging technologies.

A key highlight of the tour was a presentation of the SIMPLE project delivered by H.E. Dr. SENG Sopheap, President of CADT. Dr. SENG Sopheap introduced SIMPLE’s scientific objectives in Cambodia, particularly its focus on making students understand the impacts of pesticides on insect biodiversity and their effects on health, food quality, and agricultural yield.

As part of the event, a VR demonstration was conducted, with the hope to raise participants’ attention . The session showcased how immersive simulations can be used in learning and scientific exploration.

In Cambodia, the VR universe is currently under development and will focus on agroecological crop protection (ACP) and biodiversity in rice ecosystems. Next year, the corresponding learning unit is expected to be implemented in selected pilot schools across the country, expanding the access in Cambodia to innovative tools and immersive education for students and their teachers.
