Context

SIMPLE is a project co-funded by the European Union that aims to explore the value of virtual reality (VR) in raising young people’s awareness of sustainable development challenges. The project is based on the design of teaching methods using combinations of serious games, scientific models and VR activities, conceived in cooperation with educational players in four countries (Cambodia, Vietnam, Lao PDR and Thailand).

SIMPLE will launch a VR Contest in 2026 to foster cross-sector collaboration across the ASEAN region. By facilitating dialogue between academia and the private sector, the contest will promote the development of VR universes by professors and students with the aim of better communicating sustainability messages to the general public through original scenarios and exciting activities. 

Internship Description 

As a communication intern, you will work under the supervision of the Communication Officer and contribute to communication activities related to SIMPLE, with a particular focus on sponsorship outreach, visual content and events’ organisation for the VR contest.

Main Responsibilities

• Actively engage in fundraising and sponsorship outreach for the VR contest, including identifying potential sponsors, building the sponsorship packages, contractualising with the sponsors and communicating with them
• Support general communication activities on the VR Contest, with a focus on graphic design and visual content for communication products;
• Assist in public relations (PR) tasks, including coordinating information and materials among project partners;
• Support the organization and coordination of external events, workshops, and activities related to the VR contest;
• Assist with content creation of the VR contest for websites, social media platforms, and project reports.

Requirements

Skills

• Experience in fundraising and sponsorship outreach activities 
• Fluent in English, with strong written communication skills 
• Good skills in graphic design and video production (Abode Creative)
• Awareness of and interest on sustainable development is a plus
• Experience in event coordination is a plus

Attitudes

• Interest in generating creative and engaging content related to sustainability issues. 
• Ability to work in a team in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to learn, and openness to exploring diverse communications approaches.

Internship Conditions

Contract: Full-time internship (6 months) with allowances

Start date: Expected start on 1st April 2026 

Location: ACROSS Lab (Thuyloi University, Hanoi), 175 Tay Son, Hanoi
