SIMPLE showcased the “Lũ lụt” Model among Intellectual Property experts, academic staff and students at Intellectual Property Day 2025. 

On the morning of April 25th, 2025, Thuyloi University, in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam (Ministry of Science and Technology) and the Department of Science and Technology of Hanoi, hosted the World Intellectual Property Day (IP Day) 2025 under the theme: “Intellectual Property and Music – Feel the Beat of IP.”

As part of the event’s activities, the SIMPLE Project was invited to present one of its resources – the “Lũ Lụt” model (flooding model). This interactive learning tool is one of several immersive VR activities developed by SIMPLE using scientific simulations, designed to raise children’s and students’ awareness of pressing environmental challenges.

The “Lũ Lụt” model simulates flooding scenarios using scientific modeling and immersive virtual reality technology, aiming to raise awareness about the real-world impacts of climate change and natural disasters, particularly in vulnerable regions such as Quang Binh province, Vietnam.

A highlight of the day was the visit from Mr. Lưu Hoàng Long, Director General of the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam, who personally explored the VR flood model developed by SIMPLE’s team. His experience reflected growing interest in how immersive technologies such as VR can contribute to both education and innovation in intellectual property.

In addition to IP experts and academic staff, the event drew attention from university students across disciplines, many of whom were eager to engage with the SIMPLE team and try the VR model firsthand. The positive reception demonstrated the strong potential for technology-driven tools in inspiring a new generation to understand and act on environmental challenges.
